This is my baby girl, Helen Hart. 💚
When I was pregnant with her, I had just started my fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. I was really, really nervous about being pregnant and working with women who were coming to see me for infertility.
Would they want a doctor who was pregnant? I wore loose clothes and tried not to touch my belly at work. 👗
💚And then one day one of my patients asked me if I was pregnant. She told me that she had been praying for a pregnant doctor because she knew it would be good luck. After I told her how much that meant to me, I did her IUI (intrauterine insemination). Two weeks later she e’mailed me to tell me she was pregnant! 👏🏻☀️🌱
I said before how much my patient’s emails make my day – this one I still have 🌟 at the top of my inbox! 💚
💚A few months later Helen was born. I have her picture on my bulletin board at work and if ever I need a Monday morning boost – I sneak a peak at that smile!
I remember that life is about perspective – Monday means I have a whole week to help make families!
